increase the risk for mobility decline, nursing home admission, major fall-related injuries such as hip
fractures, and mortality. Information about how you walk, your strength, and whether or not you
fall, can provide valuable insight about both your current and future ability to live independently. Dr.
Montero-Odasso and his team are conducting mobility assessments as part of a research study. From
these assessments, you will be provided with free personalized information regarding how you walk
(your gait).
